Anxiety disorders are the most common mental illness in the U.S., affecting 40 million adults in the United States age 18 and older, or 18.1% of the population every year.

Anxiety disorders are highly treatable, yet only 36.9% of those suffering receive treatment.
Stigma is when someone, or even you yourself, views a person in a negative way just because they have a mental health condition. Some people describe stigma as a feeling of shame or judgement from someone else. Stigma can even come from
an internal place, confusing feeling bad with being bad. Most people who have a mental health condition have been made fun of or invalidated about their condition. This stigma causes people with
these conditions to feel ashamed, embarassed or even hate their condition. This can cause these people to not accept their condition or worse not seek help for it. There are many ways we can help fight this stigma.
