A New York based Illustrator, Ivory M has been honing her drawing abilities her entire life. Beginning as a fan artist selling illustrations as various comic and anime conventions such as Otakon and New York Comic Con, Ivory combined her weird sensibilities with her ability to tell short stories with illustration. She was one half of the duo known as SinComix, which published independent comics and doujinshi in the mid 2000’s. During that time, Ivory transitioned from a complete traditional artist, who used only markers to color, to a digital artist by incorporating her works into digital formats. As a part of SinComix, she showcased her work in a publication by the Anime convention Anime Next and an anthology published by Women in Comics collective.
Ivory M. continues to create illustrative work today and a commissioned artist. She has recently worked on two comics in Red Stylo Media’s The 27 Club anthology and United Nations Education, science and Cultural organization’s Women In African History, Soujouner as a colorist. Currently she is studing Animation techniques at City College and looks forward to adding a new element to Artist abilities.
